Erica began practicing yoga to compliment other forms of physical exercise and she found it not only provided her with the physical benefits she was seeking, but also improved the well-being of her mind and spirit. She practiced a vinyasa style yoga throughout her pregnancy in 2009 and combined it with other resistance training post-pregnancy to get her body and mind back to their optimal health. Erica received her 200 hour Yoga Alliance teaching certification at Bloom Yoga & Fitness Studios in Southington, CT and during the process committed herself to bringing the gift of yoga to the Milford area where students of all-levels can practice in a soothing and comfortable space.
Erica Lee Baker Yoga Studio is a special place filled with beautiful and talented Yoga teachers and amazing people gaining strength in all forms. While her varied classes offer new challenges, Erica’s style consistently promotes overall strength, flexibility and balance as well as an inner focus that can be carried off the mat. She likes to incorporate her sense of humor and is known to throw in a push-up or two.
Her athletically inspired background fuels her powerful flow-based classes with focus on core strength and stability, while re-energizing and challenging the body and the mind.
When she’s not continuously learning from other teachers and students and working to make the studio an amazing and safe place, she loves going out for pizza with her little family, interior decorating and spending way too much money at Target : )
